With another wave of Nike City Connect uniforms introduced during the 2022 season, it’s never too early to start thinking about what the Atlanta Braves City Connect uniform might look like when it is unveiled in the future.

When the Atlanta Braves unveil their Nike City Connect uniforms (and there is no set date for when that will happen, but it could be next season), let’s imagine some of the potential options for the team tipping their cap to the great things about the city and the state of Georgia.

That starts with figuring out how the Braves could work a peach into the uniform. Could that be the color of the uniform? Could it be an accent on the uniform? Could it be a peach as a patch on the sleeve? I believe the Braves will make a bigger splash with the peach color, taking the idea of the cherry blossoms found on the Washington Nationals Nike City Connect uniforms a bit further.

If not a full peach-colored jersey, how about going back to the baby blue jerseys of the Dale Murphy era and using peach accents on there? What about a navy blue jersey with a peach-colored “A” from the well-known current Atlanta font?

Could the Braves use a different font for the front of their uniforms? How about Atlanta in Coca-Cola script, since the city is the home of the iconic soda? That would certainly be a tip of the cap to the local region.

Speaking of the cap, having an “ATL” on the cap is almost a no-brainer. The Milwaukee Brewers recently used “MKE” on their hats, and “ATL” is one of the most well-known airport codes out there.

If the Braves don’t use a peach on the sleeve, putting an “MLK” on the sleeve would make sense. The Braves could also pay homage to Hank Aaron by putting a hammer on there as well, honoring the Hall of Famer through his nickname, or the number 755, recognizing the number of home runs he hit during his career.

The jock tag area near the bottom of the jersey has also been used by every other team’s Nike City Connect uniforms as well, so how about a nod to the area’s history with transportation? The Atlanta airport is among the busiest in the world and trains have played a vital role in Atlanta’s history throughout the city’s life (including today with MARTA). Could a locomotive or railroad tracks make its way onto the jock tag?

One thing we can all agree on? There should be nothing to do with the term “Hotlanta” anywhere on this uniform.
